Born in the lyrical brawls of the world of poetry slams, The Suicide Kings are a spoken word triple threat power house comprised of Geoff Trenchard, Jamie DeWolf, and Rupert Estanislao. Their work has been called "thunderous and eerily eloquent" by the East Bay Express.

Collectively, they are known for their explosive live performances combining gritty punk rock theatrics, a cappella hip-hop and vaudeville comedy into what the SF Chronicle has described as a
"high octane mix of the profane and the profound." Their hard-hitting work has been featured on two seasons of Russell Simmon's HBO Def Poetry Jam, 60 Minutes and radio stations from the Mid-West to the Philippines. They've performed and lead writing workshops at over 150 universities, high schools, juvies and prisons. They performed at the first ever slam for the inmates at San Quentin Penitentiary.

The Suicide Kings first play "In Spite of Everything" chillingly plausible scenario centers around the aftermath of a school shooting that the Kings may or may not have encouraged with their workshop. It was awarded creation commissions from the Zellerbach Family Foundation, the City of Oakland, the Hip Hop Theater Festival and the National Performance Network. Reviews have called it, "a knockout that beautifully incorporates their visceral verse into the brutal narrative of a school shooting'. The Suicide Kings are widely renowned for their dedication to their craft and breath taking live shows that redefine spoken word, comedy and hip hop theater that prompted Stanford Radio to call them "the tattooed knuckles under the velvet glove of American poetry".
